About the project

Architecture is, fundamentally, a decision-maker that shapes how we live and feel in a space. For one particular family, this reality was evident every day. They loved their house’s prime location, the neighborhood, the convenience, but the property itself was a constant source of dissatisfaction. They simply didn’t connect with the architecture, from the façade they considered bland to the internal distribution of rooms that didn’t meet their needs and lifestyle.

It was at this point that they reached out to us. Faced with the dilemma of moving neighborhoods or investing in a radical transformation, they decided to give the home they already owned one last chance, hiring us to rewrite its story.

The result is the Casa Cubo project, a retrofit that completely renewed this single-family residence, with precise interventions on the façade and in all internal environments. The proposal follows a minimalist and contemporary language, with simple forms, neutral colors, and a focus on functionality, reflecting the new identity the family was seeking.

The solutions adopted ensure more privacy for the residents, while simultaneously enhancing the entry of natural light and the connection with the exterior. Durable, low-maintenance materials reinforce the practicality of the design, which transforms the house and, finally, aligns it with the desires and dreams of its inhabitants.
